Version 1.1.0
Faster capture, seven new interface languages and clearer guidance for users.
Faster capture
For people who scan documents regularly — reception staff, for example — the time from opening the camera to the automatic capture dropped from 8.8 to 4.5 seconds.
The main reason is a new capture path based on the machine-readable zone (MRZ) — the lines with <<< at the bottom of a passport photo page or on the back of an ID card. The scanner can now capture a document as soon as all MRZ lines are fully readable, even when some document edges are difficult to detect — for example, on a light table, against a busy background or when a corner is covered by a hand. Before 1.1.0, all edges had to be clearly visible, which often meant moving the document onto a darker surface.
New
- New MRZ-based capture — automatic capture when all machine-readable lines are fully readable, even when document edges are difficult to detect.
- New Seven new interface languages: German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean — 13 in total. Region codes such as
pt-BRorzh-CNare accepted. See Language. - New Clear camera error messages. Instead of a technical error, users see what happened — camera access blocked, no camera found, camera used by another app — and what to do. Upload a photo is offered and highlighted right away.
- New In-app browser hint. If the page is opened inside an app such as Instagram, Telegram or Facebook, users are asked to open it in Chrome or Safari, where the camera works.
Improved
- Improved Complete lines only. The scanner captures only when every machine-readable line is fully visible, so fewer photos have cut-off lines. If a finger covers the lines, users are asked to move it.
- Improved Right page of the passport. The scanner captures only the photo page; on any other page it asks the user to open the photo page.
- Improved Upside-down documents are recognized before capture, with a hint to rotate the document.
- Improved Fewer, more accurate hints. "Move closer" appears only when the document really is too far, including on light backgrounds. The starting hint no longer asks for a dark background — that advice now appears only when the document edges cannot be found.
- Improved No "rotate your phone" screen at start. Text and the guide frame are shown consistently, so users can start scanning immediately.
- Improved Faster processing of uploaded photos. Straightening and cropping a high-resolution uploaded photo takes about half the time.
- Improved ID card upload tip — a short reminder to upload the side with three lines of characters — is shown only when uploads are enabled.
Fixed
- Fixed A distant document could trigger a "too dark" message although the lighting was fine.
- Fixed The scanner could briefly treat a moving or rotating phone as a detected document.
No changes to your code are needed. The script URL stays https://misfora.com/sdk/v1/misfora-sdk.js, and Misfora.version returns "1.1.0". To show the interface in one of the new languages, pass its code in locale — or let the scanner follow the browser language.
